Driver Training Academy

No experience necessary, join our driving academy today and be fast tracked to a Class 1 driver.

This is a specialist driving position, and you will be trained to the highest level to safely operate both a bulk powder tanker and a silo placement lifting equipment vehicle.  You will be operating state of the art equipment on a modern FORS Gold accredited delivery fleet, delivering to all of the UK’s major housebuilders and blue-chip construction companies.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering dry silo systems to customers sites using specialist lorry mounted lifting equipment, and refilling these silos using specialist powder tanker technology specifically designed by CPI for the mortar industry.
  • You will be required to safely operate both specialist rigid vehicles and articulated semi-trailer units. 
  • You will be responsible for providing a market leading service level to our customers in your day to day delivery activities. 
  • CPI demands driving standards of the highest level, and you will be given full in-cab training to promote your driving skills and techniques.

Essential job requirements

  • A full clean car licence
  • Be over 18 years of age
  • Willingness to train up to HGV 1 standard

Sales Representative

We have a rare opportunity for a new sales representative, working from our Beaconsfield plant covering West London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Whether you have previous sales experience or not, we are looking for the right person to join our small and friendly sales team, building and develop relationships with existing and new customers.

This is an excellent opportunity to also receive coaching and mentoring from an experienced sales team, spending time with the senior management team to support your future career aspirations.

Sales experience isn’t essential, although it would be a benefit, as we are looking for an individual who is able to manage their time well whilst carrying out the standard duties required for such a role. Working closely with colleagues and customers, you’ll manage your own time between home, the factory and out visiting customers.

If you’re got the desire to succeed, have excellent communication skills to understand the needs of customers, have confidence when working under pressure and enjoy the challenge of reaching sales targets we’d like to hear from you. You’ll be provided with a company car and all the IT equipment needed to be successful in this role. In addition, we’ll make sure you have the correct PPE kit and clothing

  • Meeting new and existing customers to maintain relationships and achieve selling prices to suit their budgets.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of our products to help with material complaints.
  • Resolve quickly and efficiently any customer or plant queries.
  • Maintain a large client database, introducing new customers to our business by developing a knowledge of opportunities in your area.
  • Deal on-site and remotely with Architects, Specifier’s, and Technical queries.

Plant Operative – Multiple vacancies

Job description

To operate machinery in the Carlton bagging facility efficiently, effectively and in a safe manner and to operate a counterbalanced forklift truck to manage palletised stock within the warehouse and to load outbound stock.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate bagging machinery to produce finished palletised goods
  • Stop or reset machinery when malfunctions occur, clear jams and report malfunctions
  • Carry out operator maintenance tasks according to a set routine
  • Maintain accurate records of relating to production
  • Complete regular quality tests and maintain accurate records
  • Operate FLT to stack and move finished product in the warehouse effectively and without damage
  • Load finished product on curtain sided HGV’s according to the daily work schedule
  • Demonstrate good housekeeping practices in all areas

Essential job requirements

  • A counterbalanced FLT operator licence would be an advantage
  • Experience in operating machinery and an ability to carry out simple maintenance tasks
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Ability to work a rotating 4-on-4-off shift system including nights
  • A well organised approach and a willingness to excel

Shift Manager

Job description

To manage all production, dispatch and maintenance responsibilities within the bagging facility reporting directly to the Plant Manager. To ensure all HS&E, Quality and Operational procedures and obligations are complied with to the highest possible standard. To actively seek continual improvement in the operation and deliver an effective and efficient operation on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the all machinery to produce finished palletised goods of the highest standard
  • Manage the outloading and dispatch process to deliver a safe and effective outloading area
  • Carry out team briefing and motivate the various production teams under your management
  • To work closely with the Plant Manager to identify and implement continuous improvements
  • To deliver team training and share best practice within the business.
  • To promote good housekeeping in all areas
  • To deliver highly effective planned maintenance activities through active management of the engineering team

Essential job requirements

  • Strong leadership skills are essential
  • Experience in managing a production line in a manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to work both day and night shifts on a rotating basis
  • A well organised approach and a willingness to excel
