Assistant Plant Supervisor – Southampton

A key position within the factory responsible for the raw material planning, manufacturing operations and distribution of the finished product.  As well as operating a state-of-the-art dry mortar factory, you will also be responsible for the daily planning of all raw material deliveries and the daily planning of the delivery fleet.  Daily direct contact with our customer base, you will deliver a market leading service for both product delivery and equipment servicing, there will be two shifts rotating weekly and some nights shifts may be needed at 8.5 hours per day Mon to Friday and some Saturdays.

Key responsibilities

  • You will be trained to operate both a state-of-the-art sand drying system and a state-of-the-art mortar mixing plant, becoming a skilled plant operator and team leader.
  • You will be responsible for production planning, ordering raw materials and producing finished product to meet a demanding and busy order book.
  • You will be required to lead your production team and supervise both the delivery team and service team, delivering a high level of service. 
  • You will be responsible for ensuring quality assurance testing is carried out in line with certified quality procedures

Essential job requirements

  • No specific qualifications required, full training will be given.
  • A good work ethic is essential.
  • General computer literacy required.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable.
  • Shift pattern and weekend work .

Relief Driver – Coatbridge

This is a specialist driving position, and you will be trained to the highest level to safely operate both a bulk powder tanker and a silo placement lifting equipment vehicle.  You will be operating state of the art equipment on a modern FORS Gold accredited delivery fleet, delivering to all of the UK’s major housebuilders and blue-chip construction companies.

Key responsibilities

  • This support driving position in the team which will involve driving both powder tanker and silo placement vehicles with the goal of keeping fleet operating during periods of holiday/absence in the staff driver team.
  • While based at Harlow the position requires flexibility as the candidate will be required to cover driving duties at any of the other CPI locations throughout the UK at short notice.
  • The role will include other duties within the factory operations when driving duties are not available. These duties will be varied and will change to suit the day to day needs of the business.
  • All reasonable travel and accommodation expenses will be met by the company when working away from Harlow including a mileage allowance for use of a private vehicle.

Essential job requirements

  • A C+E Vocational Driving licence is essential
  • Previous Powder Tanker experience is advantageous but full training will be given to the successful candidate.

Service Technician – Beaconsfield

Job description

Mobile plant fitter responsible for maintaining specialist mixing equipment used on major housebuilding and construction sites. Responsible for training customers operatives in the safe use of the mortar mixing equipment. Key customer service role.

Key responsibilities

  • Working from a fully equipped mobile workshop, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing specialist mortar mixing equipment.
  • Full training will be given providing you with an extensive skill set spanning both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • You will also be responsible for training our customer’s operatives in the use of the equipment using a structured training system. 
  • Customer care will be your principle priority in ensuring market leading service.

Essential job requirements

  • Full UK driving licence suitable for 3.5T van.
  • Previous mechanical or electrical fitting experience would be beneficial but full training will be given.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a key customer service role.

Plant Operative – Southampton

Job description

Key member of a two-man production team, working alongside the Assistant Supervisor to manage daily production tasks, vehicle loading and unloading, and material reception within a busy dry mortar factory.

Key responsbilities

Operating counterbalanced forklift truck and front loading shovel to assist in manufacturing operations. Loading raw materials within the factory.  Carrying out quality assurance testing on finished product in a laboratory environment. Assisting in factory maintenance operations.  Preparing silo equipment ready for dispatch to customers site.

Essential job requirements

  • FLT and Loading Shovel Training advantageous but not essential, as training will be given.
  • Full driving licence advantageous.
  • A well organised approach and a willingness to excel
