Our History

1995

Grafton group acquires P.P.S Mortars, a silo mortar company based in Glasgow

1997

A first for the UK, taking the technology pioneered in Ireland, CPI opened the first ever Dry Silo Mortar plant at Northfleet, Kent

1998

Coatbridge, Scotland dry mortar plant opened

1999

Beaconsfield, West London, Dry mortar plant opened

2000

Manchester, dry mortar plant opened

2001

Bilston, Wolverhampton Dry mortar plant opened

2003

Harlow, Essex, Dry mortar plant opened

2004

Southampton, Dry Mortar Plant opened

2005

Bristol, dry mortar plant opened

2006

The final piece of the jigsaw saw the opening of our Leeds Dry mortar plant, giving CPI unrivalled UK wide coverage

2008

CPI expand the product offering providing piling grouts via the Dry silo system to service the Civil Engineering markets

2010

CPI enters the Spray concrete market – providing bespoke shotcrete mixes for use in the Tottenham Court Rd Station upgrade as part of the Crossrail works

2012

Supply of Shotcrete products gains momentum with supplies to Finsbury Circus, Whitechapel station, Farringdon station and Hanover Square projects

2012

CPI opens its dedicated bagging plant in the Midlands offering the range of dry products in 25kg packaging

2014

CPI Supplies it’s largest spray concrete job to date with supplies underway to the Bond St station upgrade in London

2015

CPI acquire Carlton Manufacturing, a leading supplier of concrete and mortar products in state of the art plastic bag packaging

2017

CPI begins supplies to the Thames Tideway tunnelling works

2018

2018 brought record volumes for CPI along with further investment in new silos and delivery vehicles to strengthen our ability to meet market demand
