Charitable giving and volunteering in 2023
It was another incredible year of fundraising success for CPI, with 2023 seeing its generous staff helping to donate a fantastic £48,196 to a number of excellent community causes.
The exceptional sum was generated from charitable activities as well as 38 volunteering days taken by CPI employees throughout the year. The fundraising fun ranged from energetic activities including a sponsored sky dive, the London-to-Brighton cycle ride, the Three Peaks Challenge and the annual STEPtember Challenge, to less high-octane projects such as a Canal Trust clean-up and charitable garden products. Staff also took part in community food and gift donation programmes, with CPI’s yearly charitable initiative extending to the sponsorship of local amateur sports teams.
Wendy McFarlane, CPI EuroMix Finance Director, said: “It was great to see all the totals coming in throughout the year, with colleagues wanting to help causes close to their hearts. From charitable matching for sponsored activities, to volunteering, to taking part in STEPtember, it was brilliant to see so many staff getting involved.”
CPI recognises the importance of making a positive and meaningful impact on the people and communities in which it operates. The company’s engagement forum, Let’s Talk, focuses on its annual charitable activities and voluntary days by encouraging staff to identify how they can best have a positive impact in their local area.
Educational support is a feature of CPI’s community engagement. Its Vulnerable Road User Awareness campaign in partnership with local primary schools has become a popular annual event.

We see it is our duty to ensure that groups and projects of real local value are supported when and where we can.”
