Royal Wharf, Newham
Mortar from CPI EuroMix has been chosen for the creation of Royal Wharf, a major housing and commercial scheme located on the bank of the River Thames.
Built on the former site of Minoco Wharf the development is a joint venture between Ballymore Group and Singapore listed Oxley Holdings. It includes 3,385 residential units and 10,000 square metres of retail and commercial space.
In 2012, following a comprehensive consultation process with Newham Council, the Thames Gateway Corporation and local community stakeholders, planning permission was granted to redevelop the site with a mixed-use scheme, delivering 3,385 new homes, a new primary school, leisure facilities and retail and commercial office space.
Throughout the project CPI EuroMix has been providing mortar to contractor Lee Marley Brickwork. This has been in a range of colours including buff, charcoal, chocolate brown, natural and white. Once completed in 2020, it is anticipated the development will be home to 10,000 occupants.
